Default Lortab?

Hi,

I am taking Lortab. I take it for pain and for another reason. That reason is Energy! I love the energy that I have from Lortab. If I don't take this medicine I am so tired and I get nothing done. When you tell a doctor this they put you on anti depressants and that only makes you more tired. I don't think I will ever come off them and I don't know why they don't treat chronic fatigue syndrom with this medication. We can thank our government for that one. So, you can't get the Lortab from the doctor sometimes, so I have to resort to the street and buy some from people that get it and don't take it. Ass backwards if you ask me. If anyone has a suggestion or alternative to Lortab please let me know. OTC energy pills do not work and only cause angina (rapid heart rate). I really feel that Doctors are becoming afraid to write perscriptions because the government. Well there is allways a way around that.

You'd be wise to stop now before you really get addicted.Believe me the energy and euphoria that you feel won't last long.Soon you will have to take more and more pills to get the same effect. Then you don't get high anymore but you have to keep taking them because the withdrawls are so bad.Do yourself a favor and stop now.....Dave

It's true.
You should stop as soon as you can, the feelings you get now
will begin to diminish and as a result you will start to take more to equal the feeling.
I went from 1 a day to 10-13...it's a wake up call...just try to get away.

Hydroboy, most of us thought exactly the same way about hydro or other opiates, but the other posters are right. It is all a big lie. Addiction is very tricky like that. It makes you think it is your friend, something good for you, and helpful. By the time you realize it has become "the problem" instead of "the solution" usually much damage has already been done in our lives socially, financially, spiritually, emotionally... etc. Please, try to learn from others who have been exactly where you are and know exactly where the road you are traveling leads. Each of us thought we were different or unique, and that wouldn't happen to "us," because we are not like "them" and we know what we are doing. But, I'm telling you from experience that addiction has no boundries and anybody can become victim. The pill addict these days is a lot more common than the street addict because of this type of thinking. If you want to get educated on it more, I suggest you go to some NA meetings - even if you think you are not an addict, it would be a good place to learn about addiction and what you could be getting yourself into. Hope that helps.

This thread originated in 2006 - and must have been pretty deep in the history of old threads on this forum. It's probably pointless to respond to hydroboy now, as I'm sure he is long-gone. It's a good idea to note the date on the postings before responding. The idiocy of the line of thinking in this thread really should stay deeply buried in the annals of this forum.

If the thread is left alone, without response, it will disappear back into "history" once again.
