lexopra made my depression more worse was taking lexapro for a month . had to stop it very adruptly cos it was worsening my depression . made me feel 100 times more worse everytime i took it . i was only on 10mg . been off it nearly over a week now . the withdrawal symptoms was really severe at the weekend . was really agitated , anxious , suicidal , very tearful , feeling of unreality , insomnia , no apetite , low mood , achey all over , extreme fatigue , severe burning sensations all over my body , restlessness and visual distrubances . took myself to hospital on sunday . they kept me in and told me to have a 5mg dose instesd of a 10mg dose . they told me to have my that very next dose the following morning which was on monday . anyway within hours of taking this 5mg dose , i had a full blown migraine , was feeling really jittery . then i started to feel really agitated and feeling really unwell on it all day . toward the evening , had unbearable strong feelings of deep depression with being agitated and anxious as well until a nurse gave me a tranquiller to help me sleep and calm down as well . woke up this morning and those feelings of unbearable was still there . did not take a dose of lexapro this morning . just saw the doctor . was told by him that they are not going to give me any lexopra at all now cos it is making me more worse , even on 5mg too . told him about the severe withdrawal symptoms that i am going thru and asked if i can on 2.5mg ( half the dose of 5mg ) and withdrawal from it that way . was told by him today that he is going to think about it and let me know . does anyone know how the w/d symptoms is going to be ? all advice taken . thanku -

Theres a topic here called "Lexapro" the best thing to do is go there and read as much of the stories as you can! You will learn that their are alot of other people dealing with the same issues as you, and who better to offer some good advice than someone whose been there. There is wonderful support there also, and they can give you ideas on how long to expect symptoms to last, and offer some helpful tips. Hope this helps.
