Default Lexapro withdrawl mom

I decided to take myself off of Lexapro after 8 months because I dont want to be on "a drug". My gyno perscribed Lpro due to post pardum depression. She said that you can get on and off the Lpro with out an side effects. I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys, 2 and 4 and these withdrawl symptoms are terrible to deal with while watching children. The first week I had suicidal thoughts, hot flashes at night, negative attitude towards others and dizzyness. This is the second week and I am experiencing panic attacks. I have never had panic attacks before. I called my doctor and he set an appt for me in 2 weeks and told me to get back on Lpro. I had already been off of it for a week and after reading all of the posts of how bad it is I didn't want to go back on it. Now that I have seen a list of all of the possible side effects it will be easier to understand what is happening to me. I hope by taking Lexapro I did not do permanent damage to my brain. If I would have known about these side things I would not have gotten on it in the first place.
