lexapro/paxil withdrawal

Wow I just typed a long essay on how long my lexapro withdrawal symptoms lasted and when I went to post it, it told me invalid password and my essay was gone. Terrific. Anyhow this will be brief. My symptoms lasted 10 days and then vanished quickly. I was on paxil and then lexapro for about a year. I had TERRIBLE symptoms of withdrawal including major electric shocks in my head. I went cold turkey from 10 mg for about 5 days until I gave in and took one more 10 mg pill. Then I went 5 days and succumbed again to the extreme discomfort and took 5 mg (cut 10 in half with a knife). After that my symptoms lasted 10 days and then rapidly disappeared. Or at least the physical oned did. I still feel pretty off but the electric shocks went away and that was the worst part. I hope this helps anyone who is trying to get off the hellish medicine.
