Lexapro Cold-turkey

I've been unable to pick up my refill and I've been without my med for 3 or 4 days. I've taken 20-30 mg Lexapro every day for the past 5 years or so.
I've been having trouble breathing (a typical annoyance of mine when I skimp on sleep or my anxiety is bad).
But I started wondering if it could be a side effect of going cold turkey off of Lexapro.
I'm not concerned about the breathing difficulty (it feels like I have to yawn to get good air) because I'm familiar with it. I'm just curios about what might be causing it (it's worse than normal).

Yes your symptom's are from going cold turkey off of lexapro! It is a withdrawl from you'r med. As soon a syou refill and begin taking it again, you will improve quickly...Erin

I went off 20mg lexapro pretty quickly and definately had the same shortness of breadth--like I couldn't get enough air in my lungs--feeling. It's subsided since the first 2 weeks (I'm at the end of week 3)! Good luck.
