I am 22 yrs old, and my doctor prescribed
Lexapro to me for my anxiety. I took a 10 mg dose for only 2 days, and then completely stopped because I started getting really dizzy. I'm also not a big fan of meds that mess with your head. Anyways, I don't know if I'm ultrasensitive to the medication or what, but I feel like I have all the withdrawal symptoms that I've been reading about in this forum. The best way to describe it is extreme dizziness and double-vision for almost a month now. I feel out of it, that something's wrong with my head, and I also feel a lot of pressure on my head. Being anxious was nothing compared to this, and all of these symptoms started after I started using Lexapro for only two days and then stopping. I even called the pharmaceutical company that manufactures Lexapro, and they stated that it's rare for these symptoms to occur for so long after only taking the med for 2 days. I think I'm just ultrasensitive to drugs, but I'm just wondering if this dizziness, double vision, and out-of-it sensation will ever go away. I've been referred to an ears, eyes, and throat doctor because of the dizziness, but I'm almost 100% sure that it has nothing to do with problems in my ear, nose, or throat. It has to do with Lexapro because it started right after I stopped taking it. Anyone have any thoughts about this or is in a similar situation. I'm just concerned because I dont think a med should have this kind of effect on someone after only two uses of 10 mg a day. Could it be something else?
