Question Klonopin addiction?

I don't know about this whole "addictive personality", but as of recently, i weaned myself off hydrocodone for 2 weeks, caffiene for about a month, and my klonopins for about 3 weeks (klonopins i had to because i wasn't willing to pay for pills i used to get for free and i abused them by taking them too often)

Well, i got my script of klons yesterday and i already find myself taking/wanting them too often. I even have to have my boyfriend "control" my intake of them.

Anyone else having this problem? I know klons are addictive, but why am I overtaking them soo often? My family doc refuses to see me now because he says I'm addicted to pills in general, but hes a hyppocrit for writing the scripts. So now I have to get my scripts filled from my psychiatrist.

Benzodiazepine addiction is rated as the second worst addict to alcohol and with good reason. You can go to benzoisland.com and talk with some of the people there. They are all either in recovery from benzo addiction or are looking for information on benzo addiction. If you're not into doing that then there is the Ashton Manual.Written by Dr. Ashton about benzodiazepine addiction and the best way to come off them.I'm not saying you're addict,I mention those just as a matter of info to you.
Are you under any kind of extra stress lately or having a bad time with your boyfriend. You see were I'm going here,is there annything going on that may be making you more anxious then normal.
Benzodiazepines were developed for short term use (2 weeks usually) and unfortunetly doctors just keep prescribing them.
Bendiazepine addiction is very difficult to recover from and the withdrawls can even kill you (siezures).
So be very carefull with this class of drug as it effects the GABBA receptors in your brain the same ones that alcohol works one.If you have ever been in a alcohol rehab the first thing they give the patients is valium.
Anyway I hope that you aren't addicted and that you're just going through a rough time.Good luck to you.....Dave

Dear Dave, I've actually been persciped klons for about 4 months now, and all of a sudden they want to take me off... My psych/and family doc is refusing to see me and I have 30 days to sign this release form for her to talk to my mom. Which, of course, I'm an adult, why do I have to sign this (aren't there HIPPA laws for a reason??). SO i guess I have 30 days to find a new psych.
Oh and your link didn't work, just took me to places where I can buy essays haha
