Klonopin should not be used to come off of any other drug, even if it helps. The prescription itself carries withdrawl symptoms comparable to lomgterm use of drus such as percocet and oxycontin. It takes a relatively short period of time to become dependant on klonopin and the withdrawl is ****ing ruthless.[:0]

Klonopin is a benzodiazapine sedative, similar to valium or ativan. It can be effective in short term treatment of insomnia related to narcotics w/drawl, but is not an opiate itself and will not help curb other physical symptoms. In addition, Klonopin is an addictive substance itself and has dangers of dependance, and WD's from benzodiazapines like klonopin can be worse than opiate w/drawl, and can include fatal seizures. IF you do use klonopin to help you sleep, be very careful not to become dependant on it, as drug addictions are easily transfered from one drug to another.
