If you have been given suboxon then it probably isn't a great idea to take the vicodin at all. But if you feel you must, from everything i have learned about pills is they typically pass through your system in about three days. Now if your after some sort of buzz from the vicodin, after being on suboxon, it may take you MUCH longer because the purpose of suboxon and the intensity they produce is so much greater then that of v's. So if your really interested in taking them i would say wait atleast a week without taking the suboxon and try taking the v's again. They prescribe suboxon to help you get off things like pills, so they are meant to basically counter act opiates

If that is truly the choice you have made to go back to taking the v's again, then the longer you wait without taking the suboxon the more likely an affect from the others you will get.

High Pureplaya- I just read your question pertaining to Suboxone. I am only familiar with that medication, as my brother, actually 2 brothers, have been on it. Anyway, I'm in NY and it is only around 8:00a.m. I was going to call either one when it isn't so early, as they would know the amount of time one would need to be off the Sub. I know someone commented on it or "all pills", 3 days but that's most pills. I don't believe that would be the same for Methadone/Suboxone/Subatec, they are longer lasting, I believe. One of my brothers was taking Sub and had a "slip" and began taking narcotics again. When he ran out of the Narcs, his Dr. would not put him back on the Sub until the narcs were out of his system first; told him that he would have to "detox" off of the narcs he was taking, first. So... I would certainly want 2 know 4 myself as I too, would not want to use anything and waste it, as it would be ineffective with the Sub still in your system. As you are aware, the purpose of the Sub is to block any opiates- it's like Meth and yes, you will waste the V's if the Sub is not totally out of your system. So, if you really want to be sure, I will call them and find out. I would only try to answer this 4 you w/my brother's help, as they have the experience using this particular medication. 4 anyone reading this; don't fret...I'm certainly not playing Dr., just trying to reach back to someone who has reached out.
