Default Help - Withdrawal Panic!

Hello,

I was on Lexapro at 40 mg for 6 months. It helped with some anxiety but not with depression. 6 weeks ago my doc had me wean down 10 Mg each week. I have been off Lexapro for 2 weeks. I started Zoloft 5 weeks ago. Started at 25mg, then 50mg and then to 100mg a week ago.
I think my depression is a little better but I am having HIGHG anxiety and panic attacks almost constantly that started around a week ago. Is this Lexapro withdrawal (I had many other symptoms, or is this caused by coming up the Zoloft? How long will this last? I am barely sleeping I am so wound up by anxiety. I have been taking some Klonazepam to try and help with the anxiety but it barely makes a dent in the anxiety. Please help me understand what is going on... will the anxiety settle down? Please help.

Thanks

John

Thanks for the information on Xanax XR. My biggest problem is trying to sort out if my panic attacks (that just started a couple weeks ago) are from Lexapro withdrawal or from the Zoloft? Not sure what to do. Not sure if to stay wih the Zoloft? yesyerday was so hard at work I decided to take a couple days off to see if the med change settles down and my panic attacks settle down.

John,

My bet is that it is from the Lexapro withdrawal. This may sound strange but go to the heath food stor such as the Vitamin Shoppe and have them order you a bottle of Bach's Flower Essence in WHITE CHESTNUT. Put 4 drops under your tongue when you have the anxiety. It really does help. Costs about $14.00 for a bottle.

Hope you are feeling better.
