Help with Oxycodone/Hydrocodone Addiction

I posted this in the wrong place earlier....this should be the right place now.
Anyway....
I need help. I was originally prescribed Vicodin 5/500 6 years ago for a torn ligament in my left knee, and back pain (ciatica). I was up'ed to Lortab 7.5/500 in January. I also have been using a friends Oxycodone to boost the pain relief and lets admit it, get high sometimes. I have been taking (2) Lortab's with (1) 15 mg oxycodone 3x a day for the last 6-8 months. The oxy well has finally dried up. I have been off the oxy for 8 days now. To keep from going completley nuts I have been taking (3) Lortab's , 3x a day. I know this is alot of Acetominaphin for my liver to handle....I don't like it. I have become an irritable asshole. I can't sleep very well. My wife and kids can tell that something is going on. HELP. How long will the withdrawl from the oxy last? Can I get back to taking the prescribed dose of Lortab at some point or am I a lost cause? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
