I have been in chronic pain for almost 15 yrs. & have been on EVERYTHING!! I am currently taking 200mgs. of Methadone daily along with 6-7 Actiq lollipops(Fentanyl)...I am out of suckers until Tues.
11-28-06...I am SCREWED!! A really good friend of mine brought me a handful of Oxycodone last night...What the hell is this stuff??I know you aren't Dr.s(well maybe you are)...but I know you are all experienced with this stuff...Do you think it would be ok for me to take a couple of these a day?? What are they??Thanks so much...

have you heard of percocet????Oxycodone is the opiate in percocet.At 200mgs of methadone you won't benifit at all from taking all of those oxycodone at once.When you get on a steady dose of methadone and reach 80-120mgs a day you then are at a opiate blocking level.You should raise your methadone and try and come off the fentanyl as it is a very hard drug on ones mind.I wouldn't even bother with the oxycodone because you won't even feel them at that high of a blocking dose of methadone.I was at 400 mgs of methadone and I took 1,000mgs of morphine all at once and it didn't do a thing.I'm now at 300mgs a day and it still blocks all opiates.That's why I thought it would be good for you to raise your methadone as all the other opiates won't work very well.....Dave
