Default Has anyone tried Lyrica (Pregabalin) for neuropathic pain?

My doctor has given me a weeks supply to give it a go. I was wondering if anyone had used it, and what their experience's were with it. It is for neuropathic pain.

Default Yes I have

Hey there,

I have tried Lyrica. I was on it for three months about a year ago. The only problem I had was that my big toes would throb all day as if someone were hitting them with a hammer. Since this was not one of my original symptoms I had to discontinue. I did have some good relief from the nerve pain and troubles I was going through. I had a spinal fusion and not only did I have some nerve damage before, but they did some wonders.

Good Luck!

Hi Lesser,
I tried Lyrica, symbalta, and nuerottin. I am a type2 diabetic with bad nuerappothy in both feet. Unfortunately for me, none of these meds worked. I have real bad irreversable nerve damage, and it is extremely painful. After seeing a vascular surgeon and podiatrists who see diabetics all the time, they suggested a pain management dr. I see one now, and even though I do not like taking pain meds, I have no choice. The pain is real and I also take the pain meds, as I also have suffered from crones disease for 38 years. Four surgeries and more than 20 hospitalizations, it almost took my life. I just deal with it, since that is the hand I have been dealt and there is no cure for either. I am not suggesting you take pain meds like alot of us on this site do, but if they are taken properly, it will let you function and live a pretty much normal life.
