Has anyone that took suboxone or subutex actually quit it? Without trading it for another addiction, and been off it for at least 6 months?

If so, how long were you on it, and how much were you taking right before you quit?

Just a quick note to answer your questions.

I was on Suboxone for over 4 years. I tapered slowly off of it. I have been Sub free since September of 2007. At the end of the maintenance I was down a tiny piece every 3-4 days.

I think I was on it the longest of anyone I've read about. But I have not relapsed back into the insanity of my addiction to opiates. I consider myself a Suboxone success story, for today.....

ChrisNev.. I know someone who has been. I will see if she will post. I was on sub for 14 months and just recently had to have surgery and went off of it but I transitioned of it onto pain medication so I am no help but I will see if she can help you with your questions.
