Hi Dion: my name is Dave and I live in Belleville which is about 90 =
miles east of To on the 401.You really need to look into methadone.I had =
7 rt knee surgeries and 4 lower back surgeries(l4-5) and after 22 years =
of active addiction I think I can saftely say I know were your coming =
from.3 years ago I tried methadone,I told the doctor that I was an =
addict and also had a severe chronic pain problem. This docotor took me =
on and together we attacked this problem.Let me tell you if you need to =
go to 200mgs/day then thats what he'll do.I take 390mgs/day and I don't =
crave at all and my pain is taken care of.His name is Dr. N Heath and he =
is in Oshawa on Tuesday's (905-728-7874) he is also in Peterborough on =
Friday mornings (705-749-2345).I'm not sure what you've heard or think =
about methadone but I can tell you that you are a perfect canadate for =
this stuff. It has the pain killing stength of heroin.Give his office a =
call and tell them Dave Hunt from Belleville referred you to Dr. =
Heath.......If you want you can let me know how it turns out,I really =
don't think there is any other pain killer that's going to help you.Like =
me your to far gone for morphine, oxycodone. And remember, percs are very =
weak but they do care a strong mental buzz(you know what I'm talkin =
about).Methadone will give you that same feeling.Give it a try, you've =
got nothing to lose.......Good Luck....Dave(mpvt).

P.S. I tried to e-mail this to you but it was sent back to me.....Dave

Dion,

The stomach pain you are feeling is most likely a bacterial ulcer caused by overusing painkillers--ask your doctor for Protonix, an ulcer medication. I went through the agony of one myself, and could not even drink a glass of water without doubling over in horrifying pain. Protonix will get rid of that in a matter of days.

Dion, I am on nexium for my stomach. Pain pills destroy the lining of your stomach and cause heartburn also. They are tearing up your esophagus. I cant believe you havent been prescribed previcid, nexium or zantac. Maybe that is the problem. I have been using for almost 10 years and havent experienced anything like that, so maybe that is what you need. They sell some of these over the counter. They arent as strong, but can help til you see your Doc again. Your Dr. sounds like he doesnt know what he is talking about. I would switch. I know that every time I take oxys especially when I bite them in half, I get so much acid in my throat and stomach pain , it scares me. Start drinking peto bismal to coat your stomach also. Hope one of these things helps. What are we doing to ourselves????

I would about bet your "stomach"pain is probably coming from your liver or pancreas from all the Tylenol you,ve sucked down in them Perc,s!That,s what happens, man,it seems like time freezes for the period that you,re "Oxyfied".I went from Darvocet to Hydrocodone to Percs to Oxy over about 10-12 years cause of back problems, like you.First time came from a car jumpin out in front of me,then a year later,BAM!!,another car hit me(add cracked vertabrae to the bad discs),a few years later, slipped on some water at the pool trying to get to my baby, who fell in,WHAM,right down on the corner of the pool steps went my tailbone(add cracked coccyx),man,if that was,nt enough,2 years later, while cleaning out a gutter on my house,AAHHGGG!!,there I went off the edge of the roof, hit the ground(add broken pelvic bone, hip fracture),went through a few years of healing till a tried to play a little catch with my nephews ,throwin the football, went back to catch a pass, kept eye on the ball and not where I was going when,FLLOOP....SPLAATT!,right into a 4-6 foot deep ditch(add a few cracked ribs). At this point,I think I was at 8-12 Oxy,s a day, using the 80mg ones with 30-40 mg of Roxicodone(like Percs without the Tylenol).I stayed on the verge of withdrawal and hurt all over, both ankles swelled like crazy and every joint in my body ached. That,s what happens when you get to the end of the "Oxy-Coaster Ride".That,s when my Pain Doc said"Let,s try some Methadone".Started out with 20-30mg,2-3times a day.By the third day,I could hardly move as it started to build up in my system.I stuck at 20mg,3 times a day and after nearly 3 years ,I,m at 30mgX3 a day.Never even felt any type of WD from the Oxy,the doc put me right on it ,NO oxy taper, not 1 pill.Never wanted it,never needed it.NO more cravings!Methadone is very powerful,if you start it,BE CAREFUL.Good-Luck,Jack Beanstalk

Just talked to a friend who has a son on methadone. The whole family is in debt from the cost. I told her about suboxone. She has been through it all. He started with percs and ending up on heroin. She can talk to me because she knows about my narc problem. Does the methadone give you the same feeling as the percs. I think i took one before . People are now selling them like they sell pain pills.

Hello , I to have been going through problems with painpills and its has to stop. I want my life back. All I do is sleep, and eat and I know one day I am going to sleep myself away from here. I wake in the morning feeling so anxious, and I take a pill and I feel better, I have a serious problem. I know I could come online and find others like me. The story's I read hurt becuse everything starts somewhere. I was in a accident in 1997 and I have a mental rode in my leg. I was young when it happen so I took the meds and I came of of them with ease then 3 years ago I started having problems so my docter prescibed some perocets and everything went down hill from there. I will take anything when I don't have the pills I want. Now nothing is working and sometimes I don't know why I am taking them anyway I need my life back

nellybear, remember that you are not alone here and everyone here is willing to help you. I was in a similar position as you and was hooked on perks for about 6 months then went to methadone which is serveral times stronger than the perks. I was taking all these meds for chronic back pain and was living in a zombie like state for a year. I became very depressed and didn't work for a year either. I tried to get off the methadone by myself and ended up in the ER because the withdrawals were so bad. Well that turned out to be the best thing that happended to me because while in the hospital is was givin a number to a specail doctor that is able to prescribe Suboxone (buprenorphene). This medication takes away all the feelings of depression, withdrawal and cravings for the other drugs. It also has a drug in it called naxlone that helps prevent you from relapsing. If you were to take any other pain killers while on the Suboxone the naxlone in it would stop the effects of the other pain killers so you would not get high off them. I have been on the Suboxone for about ten days and am feeling better than I have felt in the past year and a half. I do have some breakthrough pain sometimes but it is not that bad and I am able to deal with it. It is better to have a little pain sometimes then going through life like a zombie, with no feeling and not really know whats going on. If you have any questions please send me an email and I will gladly help in any way I can. shane.gangidino@comcast.net. REMEMBER YOUR NOT ALONE AND GOOD LUCK

My friend was taking Methadone for back pain along Fentayl (I think I spelled it right) the lollipops. He was really bad, really bad. his wife sent him to DETOX and he was in there for 3 months. TALK ABOUT LIVING HELL FOR HIM. I do not understand why you Methadone is easier for people in extremely bad pain. I do not post much on here as you see but have been reading a lot. I have been addictied to pain killers for for the past 20 months or so. I have been trying to quit with not much result. I tried to wean myself off everything. The starting taking Methadone to help. Methadone about killed me I swear. The withdraws are worse if you think percocets are addictive then why would you want sinthatic herion, that is all methadone is? I do not know if methadone is the way to help, I could be completely off basis though. I hope all gets better for you DionC. You will be in all our thoughts. GOOD LUCK, we are here for you
