Getting off Xanax

How long does it take for it to be out of your system? Xanax that is. I'm trying to flush my self out by drinking lots of water to help get me thru this but I was just wondering how long it actually takes? Weeks? Days? hours? Can anyone help me with this. I relapsed on this last night. I haven't tken it in months. I took 1mg. I just wanna know how long this will take... please... thank you
