I was thinking Vicoprofin? I had 1 wisdom tooth pulled a year ago and vicodin did not work. The only thing that gave me some relief was 4 advil.

In addition, how much can I take in mg and how many per day.

you should ask your Dr tomorrow when you show up. Tell him the Vicodin didnt work for you before (which is a surprise). As you said, vicorprofin might work because Advil worked for you. I've heard of folks taking up to 800mg per day of ibuprofen, but be sure to ask your Dr. I know tooth pain can be extremely bad, post-op.
You might want to ask him to give you a script for ibuprofen... the stuff that is high mg strength.
