Default friends...I am in the midst of a Vicodin withdrawal battle

I was taking 50+- tablets per day for the past 4-5 years and I'm just sick of it. I have decided that as of not it's over. I do have a pretty strong personality and I've kicked several other substances cold-turkey with no real problems except the standard depression period but I got through and I've been over a year clean from aanything and everything except these damn Vicodins.

Regardless, I was hoping that someone here could give me some pointers about what makes the withdrawals go away...I don't really care if it means chewing on roof shingles or painting my elbows blue, but I'm tired of this and I want it to end.

Im a strong personality, so once the basic withdrawals are gone, I should be good, but does anyone have any idea of what I can do to get rid of this?

I've got an important place to be in about 7 days , I I would like to be at least mostly over this by then...any suffestions??

Thanks in advance.

PS. I'm a 28 year old guy with no other real health problems.

Thanks

If you decide to go cold turkey then you can forget being even "ok" in 7 days..Find yourself a suboxone Dr. and it will work wonders getting rid of your w/d..

Suboxone.com

GO there it will tell you all about what suboxone is,and also has a Dr. locator(not just anyone can prescibe the stuff)..Then just pray that you can get an appointment before that 7 days..These suboxone places fill up easily because each Dr. that can prescribe it can only actively treat 100 patients at a time...And before sometime in mid dec. they could only treat 30 people at a time so when it was that low in was nearly impossible to get treated unless you went into detox...Goood Luck!

Default many thanks

I went to the site and it appears that there are several doctors in the area that can take patients so I might have a chance at getting in pretty quickly...

So you know how long after starting the suboxone that one starts to feel better?

thanks

Default How's it going?

I'm also in the middle of vicodin withdraw. I've been taking up to 20+ for awhile and I'm tired of being tired. My husband just found out and I'm heartbroken for disappointing him. I know the next few days will be hard but it will be worth it. Is it getting any easier for you?

Honestly it only takes about 30 mins or so to kick in and you will feel pretty much as good as new...
