Default Effexor XR Withdrawals

Anyone out there who has gone through the tapering off of Effexor XR and how did you finally get rid of those brain shivers?

Any help is appreciated and my wife would appreciate it too.

Hi there,
I went through the tapering and finally getting off Effexor XR around two years ago. Absolutely horrid stuff. the brain shivers went away completely within a few months. YMMV- but here is what I found the most helpful. I took B100, magnesium, vitamin C every day. Lots of water throughout the day. It is rough, but can be done. I got to the point where I tapered by breaking open the capsules, and taking a few of the little round balls out every day, increasing each day the amount I took out. Lots of physical activity seemed to help as well. Good luck to you and your wife. Also, try googling for effexor withdrawl, and you may find some things on the net.

Default Withdrawing from Effexor XR

Hi - I feel for you! I found info regarding withdrawing from Effexor XR and it truly worked! It took me a couple of months for I was on 75 mg...but I had little if no side effects while doing so. I took out 2 little white things from inside every day. (save them and you can use them towards the end) You can buy gelatin capsules at the health food store and utilize the unused white things (inside the Effexor Xr). I hope this helps! I started using SAM-E during that time. I have been Effexor free for 1 year!
