My feet and ankles amongst othe rparts of my body are swollen, my doctor has prescribed lasixc at a huge dose, of 160mg *the pharmacist says most people take 20 or 80mg a day*, but its not doing anthing to bring the swelling down. Hes no prescribed another type of diuretic (Im sorry I can't rememember the neame but it comes i 50mg tablets, it's been two weeks and while my right foot and ankle swell, and deflate my left fooot does nothing but swell up.

I thought If I laid out exactly what and how much of each drug Im taking someone might see something that could causes thig

10mg xanax /day
40mg lexapro
160mg diovan
1-4 vicodin.day
3 fiber pills a day
1 all in one vitamin
soem sort of hunger sprressant 1.5mg (2 weeks on, one week off).


Does anyone see anything here than could be making me swell up?

I don't know much about the swelling itself, it could be a million of different things, but if you are in Lasix this can cause a loss of potassium from your body, so you should be taking it, and I don't see it in your list.

Are you in Lasix Special (Diuretic, Loops) or Lasix (Furosemide) ??, cuz the first works for the retention of liquid caused by kidney problems, and (Furosemide) works for the heart and liver problems, they are completly different one from the other. Have you asked your dr. about it ???

Just in case try to avoid Furosemide, which helps with blood pressure and swelling, but it is a medicine that has tons of interactions with other medicines. If this is the one you are talking about, i agree with your pharmacist.

When a dr. put me on Methadone, i started with swellings, and the same dr. put me in Furosemide, and i better don't tell how i felt.

10 mg of Xanax ??? you or your doctor put you on 10 mgs ???
1-4 Vicodin a day ?? how many mgs ???

As I said, i don't know very much about the swelling, but I don't see the reason of Vicodin, Xanax, Lexapro with Lasix and/or Furosemide.
