[Tapering]

Hello,
I am looking for some specific information. I recently went from 87.5mcg fentanyl patch (75 + 12.5)/48 hours. I decided I wanted to see want my real pain level was after taking this for quite some time (3+ years). I dropped the patch and went to 4 narco tabs every 6 hours. Is that really such a significant drop? I did feel some withdrawal effects and still am after about 2 weeks, but it is definitely getting easier. Will my body settle out? Finally slept for the first time all night last night, but it was not without the added benefit of ambiencr.

Is their a way to compare the difference in dosage strength?

Just please be careful when using the patches, I almost died using them, I was on 75mg and taking vicodon and now I am an addict taking methadone, I got addicted from all the pain killers I was on. I only take methadone for maintenance and that is it. Good Luck and just be careful you sound like you are not abusing the patches, but they are nothing to mess with.

No longer on the patches at all. Have been off of them for three full weeks. I went from 87.5 mch to 4 norco. Now I have tapered to 2-1/2 norco a day (at that level for three days now0. Trying to cut the 1/2 out today, but having a rough time tapering that off. I guess the lower you get the slower you have to go...I don't know. I am just tapering myself. The doc said take 4 noroc a day...but I want off everything.
