Question Doctor changed Xanax MG's..?

I was taking (3) 2mg xanax a day...today I was changed to (2) .025mg xanax a day? Isn't this a really low dose (the 0.25?)
Would (4) 0.25 xanax equal a 1 or 2 mg xanax? Just curious in case I need to ask to increase...cuz I was just starting to get serious relief the way they have been prescribed FIRST.
