Default definition please?

Could one of you vicodin experts in this forum advise what constitutes or "defines" long term use? Is it 2 months, 4 months...a year? In addition, I read a post from someone that felt it was just as difficult to stop taking 20 pills a day as it is to stop taking oh, 4-6 10mg a day (depending on my day of course). Is there merit to that theory? My boyfriend thinks all this is in my head, I beg to differ. One more question, what causes the unpleasant GI withdrawal symptoms? I am crawling out of my skin here, feel like such a poser going to work and going to the gym while my mind is consumed with CONSUMPTION.

This is my first post...ever...about anything. Be gentle.

Anything after 6 weeks would likely be termed long term use if there is no stopping the druyg in the near future.Opiate addiction is opiate addiction. It doesn't matter if your abusing 6-8 aday or 25 a day.I would get a prescription for 180 demerol 50mgs pills and it would be gone by the 3rd day.I'm now on methadone and consider myself a controlled addict,I also have chronic back pain from 4 surgeries and a bunch of other problems in the lumbar region.Opiate withdrawl is something you will never forget going through. In my 26 years of addiction I have never gone into full blown withdrawls the most I ever went without opiates was maybe 24 hours.I was very fortunate that I had the money and knew the right people......Dave

XTRAJ.. Are you dating my boyfriend? That has got to be the most maddening thing ever. I went thru c/t w/d last year and even though he was watching me do, it and saw all the physical symptoms it was like he still didn't believe me! He tells me it is only mind over matter. Right. Send him to this website and let him read some of the stories.. hopefully he will have a little more empathy for you then.. and get then be supportive as you go thru what can be a very difficult thing!Good luck!
