Default day 3 no methadone no withdrawl

Hi my name is Regina. I have been taking about 30-40 mg a day of methadone for a couple months now and I want to switch to Suboxone. Its been 3 days since my last dose. I thought by now I would be expereincing some kind of withdrawl symptoms confused . I was wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to withdrawl on my doseage level. Im starting to think maybe its a miracle...but I know it takes a few days. Thank you

Regina ... Anything is possible but I expect you'll start feeling the methadone any time now. It has a very long half life. W/D from methadone can last a month.

If you don't have any w/d then you don't have to worry about taking subs. You don't want to take any subs until your w/d symptoms score a 26 minimum on the COWS worksheet (clinical opioid w/d scale). You can go into precipitated w/d.

Check out the following link. It will give you a link for the COWS worksheet in the INDUCTION section. Stay in touch and I can help you with the subs when you're ready. God bless.

Sounds like it's starting. Hang in there. It will take a while to be in severe w/d. God bless.

Today is going to be the day it sounds like but you're probably rushing it a little. You don't really sound like a 26 score yet. Did you study that COWS worksheet I told you about? That's the key to knowing if you're really a 26 or not. Keep me posted exactly how you score. You've made it this far, you don't want to jump the gun. God bless.

Regina ..... it's really important about that 26 score. You don't want to have a precip w/d, and you will get to the 26 I promise. I suppose there could be an exception but everyone stopping methadone at almost any kind of a dose will have severe w/d unless they taper down to zero. So give it the time it needs.

When we do the induction I promise that I'll have you feeling so good at such a low dose you'll be blown away. All you have to do is be naive enough to follow the suggestions.

Hang in there until you feel like road kill, like if you don't start this pretty quick you're about ready to tell me to forget it. p Then wait just a little bit longer and you'll be ready most likely. God bless.
