Default Coumadin

Hi,
I've been taking Coumadin for the past year for atrial fibrillation (irregular heart beats) and since December, my INR is lower than expected. The doctor wants 2 to 2.5 aqnd I have from 1.4 to 1.9. It seems that eating a lot of greens does not help and garlic also is contradicted! I wonder if anyone has had or has the same problem that I have? I'm going on Friday April 7 to check the INR again cause they've given me 6mg 5 times a week and 5mg twice.Wish me luck that I reach the 2 or 2.5 that they want!
Bye for now

All the best!

I used to be on Coumadin. Green leafy veggies contain alot of vitamin K which prevents coumadin from working. If you want a consistent INR you are going to have to keep your diet very consistent.
