For example if someone is using Britlofex (Lofexidine) for about a week for their subutex/suboxone withdrawals and they run out of the lofexidine but were on 0.2mgs (3 times a day) then is it possible to carry on to the clonidine? or do you have to taper the lofexidine first?. I know its been said to taper these blood pressure meds but is it really going to make any difference if u just transfer from 0.2mgs of lofexidine to 0.2mgs clonidine and then taper the clonidine?.......as they both are simmilar meds?

For those who dont know what Lofexidine its a med which is available in the UK used for opiate detox, simmilar to Clonidine but with less side-effects (so iv'e been told).

If you follow the proper instructions using subs you don't need ANY blood pressure medication. That's OLD SCHOOL treatment and totally unnecessary with subs used properly.

Hi Rob.

I know i understand what your saying but i was only asking generally.

The doc gave me about 30 lofexidine tablets in 0.2mgs some time ago.

Am still on sub at 1mgs.

I just wanted to be sure and prepared just incase thats all.
