this is my first time posting, ive been an opiate user most of my life and i also have depression an danxiety, i havent seen my psych in awhile and i never told him about my addiction, he has prescribed me antideppressants in the past, im totally off them because they never worked for me, now im taking morphine and vicoden pills and i just found out he can prescribe bupe, i made an appointment with him but its not for another 2 weeks, if i told him every thing do you think he can prescribe me bupe? i have been on methadone and have been to impatient treatment in the past, he might be mad though that i didnt tell him about my addiction and not want to help me but im desperate, im a stay at home mom and i cant go to detox because there is nobody to watch the kids so im hopein ghe can prescribe it for me right away on an outpatient basis, any advice would be appreciated thanks

Your doctor will be pleased that you've come fourth and told the truth.If he's prescribing buprenorphene then your not going to upset him or surprise him for that matter.Buprenorphene is doing great things for alot of addicts and you owe it to yourself to give it a try.Good luck and let us know how your doing......Dave
