Default Anyone else on 40mg of Lexapro

[xx(]So far I think the 40mg of Lexapro my psychiatrist has put me on has helped, and we have been gradually increasing it, but I cannot find anything online about that high of a dose. To be honest it concerns me. Is this even a safe dose? Any input would be appreciated.

Whoa! Yep, that's a high dose. Over the course of 2 and a half years I went up to 30 mg / 20 hours. After realizing that each increase in dosage resulted in increased fatigue and decreased awareness of the world around me, I decided to get off of it. It took several months of trying to lower my dosage all to no avail. The withdrawal from Lexapro is horrid! Unless you are really getting A LOT of benefit from your Lexapro, I would recommend that you slowly change over to something else. [8D]
