Default ADD or ADHD?

i was wondering something for people with ADD or ADHD. how do you act when you are not on medications? i want something to compare to my 15 year old daughter. She talks almost 24 hours a day and sometimes cannot keep her voice down. She tends to jump up and down and gets very active at night because her sleep schedule is off. she goes to sleep at maybe 12 or 1 o clock and doesn't wake up until around 11 am. this tends to make her very active at ngihttime. also when she talks she tends to stutture but im not sure if that means anything. also my son who is now 19 was diagnosed with a mild case of ADD when he was 17. please help me figure out if my daughter should be taking medication for this disorder. thank you!
