From my experiences both personal and professionaly I have discovered a couple things the bupinex will definitely greatly reduce withdrawal symptoms and that cold turkey is a very difficult way to quit especially if you have access to meds. If you have a friend who is not a user and is willing to help you I recomend that as you reach the end of your scrip or supply give enough to the friend to cut 50% the first day then 25% the next day 50% the next then 25% the next in that order until you reach5-10mg on the last day
clonidine or a benzodiazepene will help with the withdrawal symptoms and you may want to have Immodium and an anti Nausea medicine on hand like Tigan, compazine, fenergan or if you are in CA marijuanna. If anyone is thinking that my math adds up to more than 100% good for you let me explain say you take 160mg of
Oxycodone daily on the first day cut to 80mg the next day take 25% from that to 60mg the next 50% again to 30mg then 25% to 22.5 OR 20mg as a round number then the next day 50% to 10mg lastly end on a 25% day this will give your body the time to avoid violent and dangerous withdrawal. You will still probably get mild symptoms during your cut back and certainly have cravings, as well as hyper sensitivity to pain, hot/cold spells, nausea, diarrhea, and perhaps most often overlooked emotional irratibility and possibly big mood swings. Pain medication is highly active in the human brain and kills emotional as well as physical pain. Buprinex is effective but I recomend being cut to a level of 60mg per day before you use it alone.
If you don't have a partner who can help you the geographical cure is often most helpful get far enough away from your source that by the time you are really sick you will make it easier to resist temptation other methods I've heard of is leaving your last pills at work or somwhere you can't access over a weekend so that you'll have fri sat sun. with the first part of your cutback and then have the last 2 days available mon. morning. Most importantly and as your first step tell your doctor your intention to quit. Good luck and forgive the many spelling errors.
