Okay, so I'm on 200 mg of sertraline and 150 mg (twice daily) of wellbutrin. meaning im on an SSRI and NDRI (<- only put on this to ease my anxiety problems since zoloft completely took care of my depression), my doctor wants to switch me to an SNRI (effexor is likely) if wellbutrin doesn't work out. How would this be different from what im currently on besides the dopamine aspect and the actual drug thats inside the med.

Also how is giving anything that increases the amount of Norepinephrine in the nervous system going to help with anxiety? With it being so related to adrenaline it seems like it would only increase anxiety through its excititory processes (cant find understandable info on the little inhibitory functions it has). I would assume that since the SSRI took care of the depression so well that the anxiety must be a comorbid disorder that isnt effected on the seritonin, noipinephrine (on the NDRI), and dopamine systems... which only leaves gaba related drug options and antipsychotics which would lower dopamine which is bad for an unmotivated person (yes im going to therapy on a weekly basis and practicing it but less dopamine would be a horrible idea), and noripinephrine (less anxiety but BAD side effects possible, i think i might rather be addicted than have tartive dysconisia [spelt wrong im pretty sure])
I dont want to have to go through 50 meds before finding the right thing (if i find it), i lived with anxiety for too long already. (frequent panic attacks (associated with agoraphobia) which interfere with creating any relationships romantic and platonic)

it would be awesome If anyone can answer my above questions, you would and more help than a Neuroscience teacher (bio psychology) and an arrogent Psychiatrist.

I have had allergic reactions to 2 different vaccines, and I'm allergic to several antibiotics and some other medications. I was wondering if I shouldn't get any more vaccinations, ever.

I was quite sick (bad headache, fever, and just feeling sick) after I got the meningitis vaccine. Then I got the TD vaccine, and developed a softball sized, red, hot, painful, raised bump at the injection site, which limited the use of my arm until it went away. I got these vaccines in different years.

The medications I've had allergic reactions to are ibuprofen, clindamycin, doxycycline, cephalexin, amoxicillin, & loratidine.

I'm almost 26.

long story short, my mom gets 3 written scrips for adderal at a time. after getting her last one filled october 12th, i took her next months one and got it filled november 2nd.. the pharmacy had told me it was too early and it could not be filled untill the 9th at the earliest... i told them she was getting it filled early because she was going out of town for awhile and didnt mind paying for it without insurance. so they filled it. its about time for her to refill it but obviously cant find the written perscription and thinks she misplaced it. so my question is, If she asked her doctor to write a new one would the doctor know it had already been filled ? and if a new one was written and taken to a pharmacy different then the one i took her scrip to the when i got it filled on the 2nd, would that pharmacy know it had been filled so recently ?? would the insurance company know and would they still pay for it ?

was one of the best there was, and it wasn't by chance. I worked hard for 11 years. I experienced all the ups and downs available.
I was a master of my craft. Why do I speak in past tense? How do I get back in How do I create the balance between greatness and being humble?
Bridge the gap between the great broker drug addict and the sober failure. my life is a mess and all the knowledge and ability seems to be wasted away by the past fouls I have all these questions and no one to ask. I look at my life now and don’t understand why. I know how it really is but why? Why give ability and greatness to some one who will screw it up every time. I have desire now but tomorrow when I wake I have to face the realities of failure. I want so badly to be the professional I was with out the drugs and being a fake liar. it seems if I have god and sobriety I cant have success and financial stability. I miss my home my license transportation ability to go out to dinner pay for my children's clothes & soccer I miss it all. I loved that Life. I guess it is like they say its better to loved and lost than to never to loved at all.
I am taking prozac (depression), klonopin (anxiety), percocet (pain), excedrin and sometimes like advil or ibprofen, and drinking vodka and other alcohol, is this an okay combination or dangerous?

Someone please help me. I am very likely to wind up in the nut house if I do not get help. I fired my doctor because he got a letter from the state and is scared to write anything even though I have been on Morphine and hydrocodone since August of 2008. The man still did not write my blood pressure medicine or my thyroid gave me some antiflammatory medicine and that was it.
I made an appointment with a Dr. in Jackson that has never let anybody suffer.Well he is sure letting me. His partner is being investigated by the state
and he is afraid to write anything because he is afraid the state is looking at him. I still do not have my thyroid meds or my high blood pressure meds. The more I suffer the higher my blood pressure gets.
I have gotten 2 letters from John Tanner and he says my case is being prossed now. I NEED HELP NOW.
I have know idea what to do now. Mom has spent a lot of money trying to get me help and I am not getting any.
If I start calling pain management doctors shall I ask them if they are worried about the state?
I have crippling arthritus as I mentioned in another thread. I have graphite braces on both legs which is not helping them to start turning, my feet looks like a duck. So I look like a robot and a duck. I have the arthritus all over and do not get out of bed unless absolutelly have to. I try to sit up at the computer some because I have copd also and it is very easy to get pnemomia
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thank you for listening,

Adderall vs Methylphenidate(ritalin?) / Prozac interactions

So Ever since I was young I have always had a hard time concentrating in school, the typical problem of reading something 5 times and still not...

So Ever since I was young I have always had a hard time concentrating in school, the typical problem of reading something 5 times and still not retaining what you've read etc. Anyways, Ive gone through many different medicines that didn't work for me, but the latest and most notable 2 are Adderall and Methyphenidate.

My question is which ADD medication has a worse interaction with Prozac, based on known cases?

When I was in highschool, I took Adderall along with prozac, and I felt fine for awhile, but after months of taking it I began to feel anti social, sure it made me able to concentrate, but in a almost spacey way. It was like I was concentrating too much, I also felt jittery and anxious, always worried someone was going to play a prank on me (of course they did, but I was almost paranoid about it). I stopped taking it because it was a time release and I did not like being unable to come down from that feeling all day long.

I went for about 3 years without any ADD type medications and began to feel overwhelmed in college, so I had another medication, Methylphenidate perscribed to me. It only lasts about 3-4 hours and is not a time release, so I can take it right before I am going to study, and not worry about being jittery when I go out with my friends later. The methylphenidate causes a almost euphoric state where I feel motivation and inner peace that I really didnt feel ever before, even with prozac I am still a slightly irritable person.

I cannot tell which gives me better concentration, because of the lapse of time between taking the 2, but I am curious as to which side effects you guys think are worse, and if Methylphenidate can cause any loss in creativity or can cause extreme nervousness. I am an aspiring musican and my local community college studying jazz, and I have to play in front of people, without either meds I can play in front of them fine, but my concentration is very limited. I am wondering which, if either, would effect me in a negative way towards playing in a band or with people or anything along those lines.

Any credible, educated oppinions anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for the long eyesore I have written out and appreciate anyone willing to take the time to read it.

Hello. I am Lucy and here is my story.

About ten years ago, my dad developed muscle weakness and started having episodes of paralysis after eating high carb meals. He was diagnosed with FPP based on genetic testing and was believed to have been triggered by a thyroid condition.

I have recently began having muscle weakness and stiffness also and will soon be tested for FPP. My dad and I are estranged from much of his family and do not know if other relatives have had this disorder. So we don't know or have contact with anyone else who has it and has lived with it.

I would love to be able to find a support group for this or be able to communicate with someone who has a similar family history because I have questions about daily life with it. I keep looking!
