Zyprexa and Risperdal are sister drugs. They are notorious for causing significant weight gain. They are used to alter I recommend always looking up any med. you are considering taking before you fill the prescription. I will put some websites at the bottom for you to keep where you can look up medications, the dosages, side effects, the use of the drug, contraindications, etc.

Why is this drug prescribed?

Zyprexa helps manage symptoms of schizophrenia, the manic phase of manic-depression, and other psychotic disorders. I nor none of my family are taking this drug ....

a guy gave my grandad some and told him that they were SLEEPING PILLS ?

I THINK ID BETTER REPORT THIS GUY ,,,, MY GRANDAD IS 70 , this guy could have seriously hurt himby given him these pills..

Good intervention there limericklad2.

Might be an idea to keep a close eye on him - talk to his doctor (or pharmacist) and find out what medicines he is taking and make sure he knows exactly how to take them.
