My 6 yr old niece is on of the med.s listed above; Zyprexa, Lamictal, Strattera, and Clonidine. She supposedly has PDD Autism, Bi-polar disorder, and maybe Skitzo. My problems are that she weighs 100lbs, she has my mother raising her and my mother sees her as a paycheck (she get SSI for her) and the doctor is friends with my mother and does anything she asks. My niece has some problems with temper and has night terrors, but my mother lets her get away with the temper tantrums and does not act like a parent to her, my husband and I watched her a few times and all my husband did was put his foot down by saying no in a stern voice and she was fine. Does anyone know of any problems with combining all of this medication or what can be done about it? I think the occasional night terrors are due to my niece witnessing ever since she was a baby my brother flipping out and threatening our mother and breaking things and my mom giving in. My niece even stated once that is why she acts out because "daddy does it and nothing happens to him." There have also been allegations that her mother's (get visitations) husband and my mother's boyfriend molested her, but there were never any findings. What can I do?
