Zyprexa is a medication for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It has been known to cause diabetes. hope i helped.

Hi There,

I use this drug for depression with sycosis and it works very well. The only bad thing about Zyprexa is that you have weight gain as a side effect. I am now being weaned of it for that fact, weight gain.

Other than that it is a great drug to be on if you have to be !!!

Regarding Zyprexa
I have a friend who has been on this med. for about 14 months. She has weaned herself off it over a period of 4 weeks and is very ill. Her Doctor says she has to go back to using 5mg. per day. Has anyone had problems getting off Zprexa who may have some helpful tips I can pass on to her.
