I took
Zithromax several weeks ago for 5 days as directed for a respiratory infection. About a day or two into it, I noticed that several times a day I would break out into sort of 'hives' that were very itchy and would last about 20 minutes. It happened twice after I ate the same thing (a snack food) one day so thought maybe I had become allergic to it. I also got the rash when I did not eat the snack food though. Well I have been done with the meds for a few weeks now and STILL have this annoying rash--it only comes when I go out in the wind/cold/rain it is SO strange I just get these red like hives all over, particularly on my hands/arms and feet, but now today I was outside cleaning up the yard for a bit and it was a bit chilly outside and after a few minutes my buttocks and thighs were extremely itchy also.
Can someone please explain what could be happening to me? I don't understand this at all I have NEVER had this problem before. I literally cannot go out into the wind/cold without this happening and it is very frustrating. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I am not on any other new meds or anything.
It could be related to the zithromax, could not but it has only been happening since I took it, never before.
