More specifically I am interested in the "Z Pack" side effects. Our family has experienced a death of someone who was taking a Z-pack. He was a young, healthy 31 year old male except for asthma that was under control and not very bad. He had gone into the hospital for a breathing treatment on a Sat. evening (only the 2nd time it was needed in 10 yrs.) was given a Z-pack for a slight sinus infection and released with a rapid (though not too bad considering stress) heart rate. This person took the first dose of the Zpack and a few hours later died suddenly. We have been advised that
erythromycin and its relative drugs like a Z-pack, azithromycin, can cause heart arrythmias. Is there anyone out there that can lead me to a web site on this subject? Please answer.
