Default zanax

hi, my doc aint no good, so please sum1 take time out for me
i have been on zanax for the past 5 years taking 2 .500mg tablets 3 times a day, i take them and im fine but as they wear off i feel terrible , i feel tension in my head plus one side of my face goes burning red also i get jaw pain and i feel as though there is a lump in my throat and i have difficulty breathing, once i take more zanax im fine but i want to get off them as i feel physicaly addicted to them ...
i suffer from mood swings also which i blame the zanax for , i have lost my best mate of 15 years tru arguing,
i started suffering from panic attacks when i was 29 , im now 34 and feel my life slipping by me, i forgot to say i was a guy , not that it matters but is this it for the rest of my life, in the last 5 years i have mostly given up my social life, im losing my mates . please help

you need to be reassed my friend. There are lots of medications out there that can help you. There is no need for you to suffer like this, it's not your fault.Get to the doctor and get the ball rolling.Don't stop taking the benzo cold turkey as this can be a fatal decision.Hang in there and make an appointment now......Good luck and let us know how your doing....Dave

You use the term "addicted" but I think a more appropriate term in your case would be "dependant." There is a difference. There is no shame in being dependant on a medication. They can improve your quality of life if used properly. You just so happen to be in need of a controlled substance which can lead to physcial dependance over a period of time. It sounds like you have built up a tolerence over the past few years and an increased dosage might be in order if you want to continue using Xanax.

Don't question authroity. They don't know either.
