Default Are you taking Metformin for your type 2 diabetes?

If so, you may be interested to know a clinical research study is being conducted at locations across the United States to assess the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in controlling blood sugar levels when taken in combination with Metformin (also known as Fortamet, Glucophage, Glumetza, or Riomet). This study is seeking individuals who are taking Metformin for type 2 diabetes.

Eligible participants will meet the following criteria:

- Be between the ages of 18 and 70 years old
- Currently be taking Metformin for diabetes
- Women must be post-menopausal, or have had their uterus and/or both ovaries removed.
- Be available for a first study visit before February 15, 2008

If you qualify and decide to participate, you will receive study-related medical care and study medication at no cost. Compensation for travel may also be provided.
