Hi There -

I currently take 2mg of Xanax every other night for anxiety/insomnia. Whenever I take it, I wake up/roll over, and my lower back is immobile, it takes me 10 minutes to get out of bed because of the pain. THis ONLY happens when I take Xanax, is this common?

Other meds I'm on:

Levoxyl - 125 mcg
zoloft - 100mg
prilosec - 20 mg
lomotil 10/2.5

Please help!

Hell no that's not normal. I've taken up to 10mg of xanax at once, and maybe a few more after that (can't remember, lol), and anytime I wake up, I just wonder "what happened?"

Never had any body problems.

I have been taking Xanax for 4 years and haven't experienced that nor heard of it. It may be a side effect of another medication or another underlying condition/problem. I would definitely mention this to you dr. Also, I'm sure that you are aware that Xanax is extremely addictive. A 0.5mg of Xanax is = to 10mgs of Valium. Sometimes the "cure" is worse than the disease. FYI...Xanax taken for long periods of time can create insomnia. Take a look at www.benzo.org.uk/ & click on Ashton Manual. You will get some excellent advise and insight on Xanax & other medications. Please be careful with the Xanax...wish my dr. would have never prescribed it. It has been the worst thing in my life.
