Does anyone know the strengths of the drug xanax? milligrams? What is the strongest one's mg?

american Xanax (and it's generic equilivants) come in .25, .5, 1 and 2mg tablets. Xanax XR (extended release) tabs also come in all these dosages (except the .25), as well as in a 3mg XR tablet.

Because Xanax is my favorite pill of all time...

I've been prescribed to Xanax XR 3mg and I'm almost sure that there are 4 and 5 mg XR as well. The only reason I say this is because my psychiatrist had a sticker attached to my prescription paper. On the sticker it had 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 mg tablets. Keep in mind these are XR.

Regular, non XR, xanax comes in .25, .5, 1, and 2 mg. 1 mg are often called footballs and are blue while 2 mgs are called bars or totem poles. I love bars.
