Lots of strange things can happen when anyone first starts on an antidepressant. Children on it bother me even worse. It takes a while for the body to become acclimated to the drug. If this is something that has started happening down the road or if it persists then I would obviously call the dr. Good luck and God bless.

I totally agree with Robert. I'm not a doctor, but I would discuss with the doctor. Best of luck!!

I agree with the posts above me. I would ride it out a little longer until she becomes more adjusted to the medication because paxil and all drugs in the SSRI class can have a very wide variety of side effects. The side effects should hopefully decrease and hopefully go away completely but if they consist or become particularly bothersome then talk to your doctor.

What the hell are you giving a ten year old child this or any other drug like this for?
Of course a child is going to be sad after their parents split up but thats normal, its part of learning how to deal with life.
unbelievable.
