I took Zoloft 200mg for a year and a half and then my doctor switched me to Celexa which is another SSRI. She said that there wouldn't be any withdrawal symptoms because I was making a direct switch but I definitely was dizzy, spacey, and just generally out of it for about a week and a half until my body got used to the new meds. It's uncomfortable and annoying but it will go away relatively quickly if you stick to the new meds religiously. Hope this helps.

I took Zoloft for less than a year and that was 5 years ago. I still have symptoms from withdrawl. Sometimes they are so severe I almost can't walk. No one in meduicine I have talked to has heard of this.
The effects can be held at bay with any narcotic or benzo. Not a great option but it can help. Just be careful.

Yes, this does happen to some people, even if you are starting another SSRI, you should be tapered off the Zoloft.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
