Hello.

http-//www.drugs.com/cdi/rogaine.html advices: Do NOT use Rogaine if you only have hair loss toward the front of your head (eg, a receding hair line); Rogaine is not used to treat this kind of hair loss.
Does anyone know why?
(Since Minoxidil seems to be the only thing that actually works, this implies that hair loss toward the front of one's head is untreatable, no?)

You might want to try either finasteride or dutasteride.

thanks for the reply. I wouldn't touch anything that tampers with my hormons (but I guess that's no more than a personal preference).
So, the question still stands: why not apply minoxidil to the frontal area?

Sick of this rumor going around so I have signed up to try set this straight.

When they ran the initial testing process to see if it even worked they never tested it on the temple area, theres a lot of users who have reported it does work on the temple area, I for 1 am one of them.
