Default what do you do?

just wondering if everyone here seeks couciling or some other form of help whilst taking medication?

my sister is an RN and believes i should seek counciling to get to the bottom of my issues, though some of them cannot be resolved through talking.. i know that much. so what to do?

im not sure how i am meant to stop these feelings and thoughts i have when i dont know how to? it is harder to change the way you think and feel than most people out there say it is. im taking 10mg Lexapro at the moment, and although alot here seem to have bad experiences with either taking it or withdrawing from it, it seems to be making things better for me now that i am getting over the fatigue during the day and insomnia at nights..

just wondering what you do to help you get over things while on medication, to ensure you are in a better state of mind once you come off your meds...?

I would seek out councilling in a minute. We tend to think that doctors can solve everything with a perscription but alot of times just talking to a professional can do wonders.I've gone to a pyschiatrist on more then a few occasions and they do help alot.Good luck.....Dave

Talking is a great way to understand yourself. The more you verbalize whats going on in your head, the more you can analyze it all and take what you need from it.

Alway seek counseling when on your medication, that's how you sort out in your min and theres if you are on the right stuff and amount, or abusing it. Some doctors will even put you on thing because its his easy fix without much thought, try for second opinins too. You need an impartial monitor for any psych med, in case its making you unable to reason normaly good luck!
