Question wellbutrin hci sr and phentermine together, is it ok?

Hi everyone I am new to this, I have been taking phentermine 37.5mg 2 tablets daily, and I think I have depression but it seems to be worse lately, I have an appointment with my Dr next week, however I have about 5 wellbutrin hci sr tablets 150mg that my mom gave me a couple of months ago to help with not smoking. I never took them but for the last three weeks i have been feeling extremely sad and tired, i dont feel like doing anything. I found out recently that my mom is bi-polar and my youngest sister just found out today that she is also bi-polar. I was wondering though if anyone has taken these two together I only have enough phentermine left until tomorrow then I am out, would it hurt to take the wellbutrine now and up until I go to my dr on the 26th? I have three children and I am home alot by myself with them so I cant afford for any severe reactions, I also have a history of alcohol and pain med abuse. Please any help is appreciated...I need to feel better ASAP!

No, it's not safe to take together, there is a major drug interaction. There's a drug interactions checker in the tab up above, run your drugs through it and read what it has to say.
You best wait until you see your doctor before taking any a/d's, he/she may put you on something different, and you could have a bad reaction. I once went from Zoloft to Wellbutrin SR and had a meltdown, it was an awful experience.

You're welcome, Wellbutrin is one of the better ad's since it has the fewest side effects, and that is a big problem with antidepressants, truthfully though, they don't work over half of the time, if you can get by without them, do so. What happens a lot is people get side effects, especially in combo with other drugs, and then you need more drugs to counter-effect their symptoms, and you end up taking a cocktail of drugs and really get messed up, and pinpointing the culprit is tricky. At least with Wellbutrin you won't have to kiss your sex life goodbye, and that causes depression on top of depression, and a frustrated spouse!
Good luck.
