Default vicodin question

Hi,I am wondering when taking vicodin does anyone have any side effects like pounding heartbeat, upper backpain or breathing that when you start to fall asleep stops and wakes you up kind of gasping? Thanks for your help!

You may be taking too much...Shallow breathing as you described can be caused by taking too much hydrocodone..If you are overdosing you could actually die in your sleep from respiratory failure..Have to know how much you were taking and for how long?..If you are taking normal doses and just started taking it you can experience a number of side effects including some of those you mentioned..it causes anxiety and nervousness in some people and calm euphoria in others.I would call my prescribing Dr if I were you and tell them what is going on if you are taking it as prescribed.But..If you are overdosing to the point that you have shallow breathing you are risking your life....Good luck
