Valtrex / coumadin interaction ?

I take Coumadin and I today I was pescribed Valtrex for a shingles outbreak on my back. I've been looking all over for any possible interactions and can't find anything. Does anyone know if there is any interactions? Or has anyone had problems with the two? I tried calling the anti coagulation clinic but only got voice mail. I can call them back, but not until later.

No, there is nothing listed. Do you use the same pharmacy for all your prescriptions? If so, then they would have caught a potential interaction anyway, and informed you of, instead of filling the scrip.

If you use different pharmacies, you shouldn't, for this very reason!

Thank you for your reply and information. I finally did get a hold of the anticoagulation clinic and they confirmed also it is ok w/Coumadin.

Yes, I do use the same pharmacy because of all the meds I take.
