Dear All,

I did a MRI for my hip recently and to this end, Ultravist was injected into my hip.

The day after the MRI, I experienced extreme pain in my forearm and fingers plus spasm on the arm. This has been followed by increasing swelling of the whole arm and fingers to a point that I cannot remove my rings.

I asked my practictioner and he was surprised about this reaction and couldn't make any suggestion regarding which drug would allow to overcome or at least reduced these side effects.

I would like to know if someone experienced something similar and what would you recommend me to do ?

For information purposes, I am a 53 years old woman.

One of my friends had a similar problem, but since they were overseas, they were able to get a different prescription from an Offshore online pharmacy you may want to see if your doctor will switch you to something that won't affect you like that. Hope you're feeling better!
