Couple of Questions for you:
1. Did the same doctor prescribe to you all these medications?
2. Are you unable to function normally?
3. Have you had any negative health tests on your blood pressure, liver or your psychological well being?
If you answered Yes to any of these questions then you may want to find another pain mangement doctor. Unless of course... you enjoy the multiple prescriptions and are not concerned for the health risks involved. I will pray for your pain recovery.
I too have been to pain management and I refused to take all the medications one doctor had prescribed to me! It was rediculous... I am 28 and was prescribed sleeping pills, antidepressants, pain killers and muscle relaxers! You have got to be kidding! I found a new pain management doctor and told him what worked and what was enough to manage my pain.
I've had 6 months of
Lortab 7.5 at 3-4x's a day under my belt, they are not nearly as effective as they once were. In addition to Lortab, I have had physical therapy, massage therapy(wonderful), muscle stimulation and family support. At this point I decided that the Lortab 7.5 are not working anymore and I was told by mr Dr. to try
Ultram now. I am a little fearful but I don't want to be addicted to Lortab at 28.
I think I will try the Ultram tomorrow. I know a combination of moral support, medicine and other therapy is what worked best for me. Please keep us posted on your recovery.
