Default Is there danger w/ interaction of 7 drugs?

My father has recently survived a stroke. Between how ever many doctors he has he has been prescribed 7 different drugs. I have looked them all up and understand the role each one plays. I am concerened that it may be too many drugs and that something might be overlooked. Does anyone have any advise or comments on combo of the following 7 prescriptions.
1. vytorin
2. aricept
3. niaspan er
4. keppra
5. effexor xr
6. actos
7. flomax

Please let me know if you have some potentially dangerous or some helpful information on a combo kit of these medicines.

Thank you.

There is always chance of interaction between any combo of medicine. How to decrease that chance is to make sure his dr (dr's) are all aware of each med he is on and in case he is seeing multiple doctors, take them everytime he goes to a visit. Also, by using the same pharmacy they check for interaction as well against everything that he is prescribed.
If you are worried, I would call the pharmacist and speak with her about it.

get your dad to a psychopharmacologist who will handle all these meds for him. that way you dont have to worry about interactions.

may i ask why he is taking aricept? i know he just suffered a stroke...but my fiance's grand-pa takes aricept for alzheimers disease? does your dad have this as well or is there another reason that the doctor/doctors are prescribing him this med?? sorry if this is too personal of a ? ... if so just tell me to buzz off, i won't be offended...but i was just wondering because that may be one medication you could get him off of so he wouldnt have take so many meds!
